Midnight Train to Georgia

First recorded by Cissy Houston, Midnight Train to Georgia is best known as the cover version done by Gladys Knight and the Pips. In fact it's so much associated with Ms. Knight she named her Atlanta Chicken and Waffle restaurant after it. See, I have learned something by watching Man vs. Food

"Midnight Train to Georgia" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999 and Rolling Stone ranked it #432 on their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. With a resume like that, it tends to get covered quite often. This take is not by Gladys Knight, but by the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame Nominee and king of the Jews, Neil Diamond. It's off his album released yesterday called Dreams and he sang it Monday on the Today Show.
