If You Could Only See [Boyce Avenue / Tonic]

From the Vault … May 18, 2011

I love Tonic. In my book one of the most underrated bands in the Alt-Rock era. I know, you’ll question my entire musical taste from now on but … I still think they’re awesome. Here’s Boyce Avenue covering one of thier best known songs.

Jeremy, Boyce Avenue, Pearl Jam, Cover Song, Cover, Covers, Cover Songs, Music, UnderCover, Crut, Song, Songs

Jeremy [ Boyce Avenue / Pearl Jam]

The version is totally different that the original … mainly because you can understand the words and don’t wind up singing “Sara Lee Smoked Hams” or “Jeremy smoked grass today.”

But hey, if you like misheard lyrics, follow theladymondegreen.

Mr Brightside, boyce avenue, Killers

Mr. Brightside [Boyce Avenue / Killers]

From the Vault … August 27, 2012

I saw a shirt the other day that said “Started out with a kiss, How did it end up like this?” Now you might think this was an officially licensed piece of Killers’ merchandise, but no, it was a maternity shirt. Well I guess if you’re going to cover up that baby bump, might as well make it tacky.

Speaking of covers, here’s Boyce Avenue covering Mr. Brightside.

Need You Now [Boyce Avenue / Lady Antebellum]

If nothing else Lady Antebellum has given karaoke singers another song to duet on, so you're no longer just stuck with "Photograph" by Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow or some crap from Official Grease Movie. Here's Boyce Avenue and Savannah Outen.

Just The Way You Are [Pierce the Veil; Boyce Avenue; Jimi D; Ahmir; Megan Nicole, Alex Goot / Bruno Mars]

Just the Way you are seems to be the current "it" song to cover. Don't believe me? Here's a smattering. Mainly because I don't get to use the word "smattering" enough. Also "jinkies" ... can't remember the last time I used that in casual conversation.

For the protopunks, here's Pierce the veil's take ...

If you wanna rock down to the light accoustic Boyce Avenue ...

Ya mon, there's a reggae cover too by Jimi D ...

Need an R&B version, Ahmir has provided ...

What about a female vocal version? Here's Megan Nicole.

What about another version? Alex Goot is a hoot.
