From The Vault … Sept. 22, 2011
Let’s see, hot girls in tight outfits doing an acapella cover of song originally with male vocals … what more do you want? To bitch slap Nick Lachey? Yeah, well me too. But this season of The Sing Off is still young, and this here Bruno Mars cover by Delilah makes me with I could watch real TV and not just NetFlix. See them EMOTE!

Dubstep covered Acapella, in dutch. Sure … why the heck not? It’s just refreshing to hear Skrillex and not wonder if a pair of twenty year old fax machines are making sweet, sweet love.
So here’s Dario Fo Choir covering Skrillex.
Ladies can (and do) do acapella too. Can’t forget them in my week of acapella.
HomeFree is basicly … Oak Ridge Boys : the Next Generation featuring Howdy Doody at the helm. And that’s meant as a compliment. As the fourth in my week long series of Acapella covers, it really works.
Though they did miss the great opportunity to mash the song up with Honky Tonk Badunkadunk.
Risin’ up, back on the street. Did my time, took my chances with a third acapella cover in row. It’s like I’m doing a theme week or something.
How about an entire week of Acapella covers? I know you want it. You’re a good girl!
Romeo And Juliet [Brown Derbies / Dire Straights ] I LOVE COVERS
From the vault … Feb. 11th, 2011
I love the Brown Derbies. They’ve done some of the best college acapella covers ever, in my book. Unfortunately they’re very few on YouTube. So, while not thier best love song, here they are covering the Dire Straights’ Romeo and Juliet.
Pure Imagination & White Christmas [Blenders / Gene Wilder & Irving Berlin] 12 DAYS OF COVERS
From the Vault … December 18, 2010
"Pure Imagination" was sung in the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory by Gene Wilder. A Jewish Irving Berlin penned “White Christmas” for Bing Crosby only to have it become the number one selling single of all time. Here acapella group the Blenders … uh … blend the two into what is easily my favorite Christmas Cover.
Under Pressure [ Rajaton / Queen and David Bowie]
You can pretty much tell a persons age by the level of disapointment they feel when they discover this isn’t Ice Ice Baby.
