Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Kiss, Detroit, Rock City, Cover, Cover Song

Detroit Rock City [Mighty Mighty Bosstones / KISS] The impression that I get is that this cover is much older than I thought it was based on the video. From the absurdly brilliant tribute album called “KISS My Ass" here’s the Mighty Mighty Bosstones covering “Detroit Rock City."

Christine Sixteen

Once upon a time it was kinda okay for songs to be about sex with girls under the age of consent. Winger's "Seventeen", Motorhead's "Jailbait", Sam Cooke "Only 16", The Beatles "I Saw Her Standing There," DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince "Parent's Just Don't Understand"  and well pretty much every song by Chuck Berry.

The Knights In Satan's Service (AKA KISS) contributed with "Christine Sixteen." Here's that Chris Hanson favorite as covered by the Gin Blossoms.

Rock and Roll All Night

Here's a cover genre I'm going to bet you've never heard of before. It's called dictionaraoke.
"This site features parodies of popular songs using karaoke-style backing music with vocals provided by audio pronunciation samples from online dictionaries." So it's 100% electronic, especially the vocals. There's a 100 or so of these, all free for the downloading. Interesting, if not good. Here's a cover by Ball2000 doing Kiss. You wanted the best, you got something else entirely!
